This 700-foot mountain driveway on Smith Grade was plagued by severe erosion and constant gravel washout. The original pitch directed water down the length of the driveway, allowing it to gain velocity and tear through the gravel surface with every rainstorm. The homeowner had spent thousands re-graveling year after year with no lasting solution.
We engineered a complete pitch reversal that redirected water flow away from the driving surface.
